On Saturday, it was reported that actor Tiku Talsania, famous for his roles in the 1997 film Ishq and 1993 film Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, suffered a heart attack and was in critical condition in hospital. Now, the 70-year-old actor’s wife, Deepti Talsania, has spoken to NDTV and clarified the actor suffered a brain stroke.

Deepti shared, “He suffered a brain stroke, not a heart attack. He had gone to attend a film screening and started feeling unwell around 8 pm. He was immediately admitted to the hospital.” Tiku is currently receiving treatment at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.

The actor is known for his comic roles in several films, including Aamir Khan’s Raja Hindustani (1996), the 1994 film Andaz Apna Apna and the 2007 film Dhamaal, among others. The veteran actor has two children with Deepti. His son, Rohaan Talsania is a music composer. His daughter, Shikha Talsania, is an actress. She has been part of films like Satyaprem Ki Katha, Veere Di Wedding, and Potluck, among others.

Tiku recently attended a movie premiere with his wife. A video of the same has surfaced online. In the video, the actor was seen exchanging words with Rashami Desai and posing for the cameras with a smile.

Rashami Desai, who met the actor last night, spoke to Money Control and said the veteran actor was perfectly fine at the movie premiere. She said, “The meeting was very good. Sir (Tiku Talsania) is a wonderful person, actor. It was very unfortunate whatever happened yesterday. He looked absolutely perfect when he came. I was busy meeting people. He reached on time and things are better now. He is better now, we pray for his speedy recovery.”

Tiku was last seen in the 2024 film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, starring Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri.
